Security paperwork FAQ
Are these security forms really free?
Yes. Download, fill in, print and copy them as often as you like for your own properties and officers. No sign-up.
How do I fill in the PDF on my phone or computer?
Open it in a PDF app such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview on a Mac, or the files app on your phone. Tap a box to type, then save or share the completed copy. You can also print it blank for a clipboard.
What should a security incident report include?
The date, time and exact location; the type of incident; everyone involved with descriptions and contact details; vehicles; a factual narrative of what happened in time order; actions taken; who was notified (police case number, client, supervisor) and when; evidence such as photos; and the officer’s name and signature.
What is a DAR in security?
A Daily Activity Report (DAR) is the security officer’s shift log. It records each patrol, check and event with the time, plus equipment received, incidents and pass-down notes. It shows the client what was done on every shift.
How long should we keep visitor logs and security reports?
Keep them as long as your contract, insurer or legal counsel requires. Many organizations keep them for years because they are evidence if something is later disputed.
