How patrol service works
A Public Safety Officer in a marked patrol vehicle covers a set group of properties each night. Each visit includes a drive-through and a foot check of the areas you choose: doors, gates, parking, amenities, equipment yards. Visit times change night to night so they can’t be predicted.
It costs far less than a dedicated officer on site, and for many properties it is the right fit: enough presence to deter problems, with someone who can respond when something is wrong.
What a patrol visit covers
- Drive-through of parking lots, garages and perimeters
- Foot check of doors, gates, locks and lighting
- Pool, gym and clubhouse closing checks for apartments and HOAs
- Lock-up and unlock service for businesses and gated sites
- Trespass and loitering response — police called when needed
- A written, time-stamped report for every visit
Who uses patrol service
- Apartment communities and HOAs that want a nightly courtesy patrol without a full-time officer
- Businesses and retail centers after closing time
- Construction sites between phases, on weekends and over holiday shutdowns
- Vacant buildings and properties for sale or between tenants
- Closed businesses over holidays and vacations
Patrol or a dedicated officer?
Choose patrol when you need presence and checks a few times a night. Choose a dedicated officer when you need someone on site the whole time — continuous access control, a gatehouse, a site with repeated break-ins, or a fire watch. Many clients start with patrol and add a post during high-risk periods. Ask us which fits your property.

Security Patrol Services FAQ
How many patrol visits do I get per night?
It depends on your property and budget. We set the number of visits and what each visit covers with you, and vary the times so they can’t be predicted.
Do I get a report after each patrol visit?
Yes. Every visit is logged with the time and what the officer checked and found, and anything that needs attention is reported to you.
Are your patrol vehicles marked?
Our patrol vehicles carry our company name and are marked as private security — never as police — following Washington’s rules for security vehicles, which prohibit police markings and restrict warning lights. See our mobile patrol guide for the details.
Can patrol officers lock and unlock our property?
Yes. Lock-up, unlock and amenity closing checks are common patrol tasks for businesses, gated sites and apartment communities.
