Construction & Development

Construction Site Security.

Job sites are most exposed after the crews go home. Our Public Safety Officers protect equipment, materials and the work already in place — and can stand your code-required fire watch in the same deployment.

What we protect on a job site

Copper, tools, generators, fuel and staged materials walk off unprotected sites every night. A visible, uniformed officer who actually patrols — not one parked in a truck — is the strongest deterrent there is.

  • Heavy equipment, tools, fuel and staged materials
  • Completed work: windows, fixtures, wiring and finishes
  • Fencing, gates and site access points
  • Trailers, conex boxes and site offices

Coverage built around your schedule

Most builders need officers when nobody else is there: overnight, weekends, holidays and the gap between phases. We staff nights-only, weekends-only or around-the-clock posts, and adjust as the project changes.

Every shift ends with a written log — patrol times, gate checks, who came and went, and anything that needs your attention in the morning.

Holiday shutdowns and long weekends

Sites sit empty for days around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s — exactly when thieves know no one is coming back. Book holiday shutdown coverage early, and use our free construction site security plan template to plan who has access and what gets locked up.

Security and fire watch, one deployment

When sprinklers or alarms are offline, or hot work is happening, many sites need a fire watch on top of security. Our officers are fire watch trained, so one officer and one set of logs can cover both where the fire code official allows it.

Fire watch is run by our dedicated division, Skagit Fire Safety.

Construction Site Security FAQ

Do you cover construction sites at night and on weekends?

Yes. Nights, weekends, holidays and 24/7 coverage are the most common construction posts we staff. Tell us the hours the site is empty and we will build coverage around them.

Can the same officer do security and fire watch?

Often, yes. Our officers are fire watch trained, so where your fire code official allows a combined post, one officer and one log can cover both. If the fire watch must be dedicated, we will tell you up front.
