How to fill it out
- One line per round, with start and end times.
- List the specific areas or checkpoints you covered.
- Check the boxes only after you physically checked doors, gates and lights.
- Write down hazards and people you found, and what you did about them.
Patrol log vs. daily activity report
The patrol log records each round — when it started and ended, what you covered, what you found. The daily activity report is the whole-shift narrative. Many sites use both: the patrol log proves the rounds happened at the required interval, and the DAR tells the story of the shift.
