How to fill it out
- Check ID and confirm the reason for the visit before entry — a work order, visitor badge or similar.
- Write the type of ID checked, never the ID or TWIC number itself.
- The escort stays with the visitor the whole time they are in a secure area.
- Record the MARSEC level at the top of each sheet.
Escorting at regulated maritime facilities
At facilities regulated under federal maritime security rules, visitors without a TWIC must show acceptable ID and be continuously accompanied while inside secure areas (33 CFR 101.105, 101.515). Facilities must also keep security records for at least two years (33 CFR 105.225). Follow your Facility Security Plan for what to record. See our TWIC, MTSA and MARSEC guide.
