Our Public Safety Officers protect equipment, materials and the work already in place — and can stand your code-required fire watch in the same deployment. - [Apartment & HOA Security](https://skagitsafetyservices.com/services/apartment-security): Residents want to feel safe walking to their car at night — and property managers want fewer 2 a.m. phone calls. Our Public Safety Officers patrol parking, buildings and amenities with a calm, community-minded presence and a written report every morning. - [Commercial & Retail Security](https://skagitsafetyservices.com/services/commercial-security): A professional, uniformed officer changes how a property feels — for customers, staff and anyone thinking about causing trouble. It is the standard we hold our officers to. A Public Safety Officer is a licensed, uniformed security professional trained beyond the state minimum — in de-escalation, Verbal Judo, nonviolent crisis intervention and OSHA fire watch — and expected to protect the people on a site, not just observe and report. Our officers are private security professionals, not police officers. ### How fast can you start security coverage? Call (360) 421-3282 — a real person answers 24/7. Urgent coverage can often start the same day, depending on where the site is and how many officers you need. We give you an honest start time on the call, before we hang up. ### How much does a security officer cost? Every site is quoted individually. Price depends on the number of officers, the hours and days covered, how long the contract runs, and what the post requires (for example gatehouse access control or combined fire watch). Quotes are free — call or send a request and we will scope it honestly, without padding the post. ### Are your officers licensed in Washington? Yes. Our officers are licensed under Washington State’s private security requirements and trained on RCW use-of-force guidelines and the legal limits of private authority. We are insured, and we can send a certificate of insurance with your quote. ### Do you provide construction site security and fire watch together? Yes. On construction and industrial sites we can combine security patrols with code-required fire watch in a single deployment, with one set of logs. Fire watch is handled by our dedicated division, Skagit Fire Safety (skagitfiresafety.com). ### What areas do you serve? We are headquartered in Skagit County and serve all of Washington State — from Mount Vernon, Burlington, Anacortes and Bellingham to Everett, Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Spokane, Yakima, the Tri-Cities and Vancouver. ### Do you offer short-term or one-time security? Tell us what you need — one night, a few weeks during a vacancy or project phase, or an ongoing contract. We will tell you on the call what we can staff and when. ### What do I get after each shift? Written shift logs and incident reports covering patrols, who came and went, and anything that happened on site. They are written to stand up for property owners, fire marshals and insurers. ## Free security forms (fillable PDFs) - [Security Incident Report Form](https://skagitsafetyservices.com/security-forms/incident-report-form): A complete incident report: incident type checklist, people and vehicles involved, a facts-only narrative, actions taken, police and client notifications, and signatures.
